Rebecca Chavez, FNP-C
Family Nurse Practitioner
Rebecca Chavez, FNP-C is a skilled Nurse Practitioner specializing in medical dermatology including the evaluation of atypical moles (dysplastic nevi), skin cancer diagnosis, eczema, psoriasis, acne and rosacea. Rebecca also enjoys cosmetic dermatology and works with patients to develop comprehensive cosmetic treatment plans using injectables, lasers and topical treatments to achieve natural results.
She received her B.S. in Nursing Education and Master of Science in Nursing from Keuka College. She received her RN from the Crouse School of Nursing and her Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner from D’Youville College. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner Rebecca worked as a Registered Nurse with Medical, Surgical, ICU and endoscopy experience. She also served as Clinical Faculty and Lab Instructor for Utica College’s Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program. Rebecca is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Rebecca enjoys treating a wide variety of dermatologic conditions in patients of all ages.
Ross Trent, RPA-C
Physician Assistant
Ross Trent, RPA-C, is a certified Physician Assistant specializing in medical and surgical dermatology. Ross received his Bachelor of Science degree from Mansfield University and went on to complete a program in Physician Assistant Studies at the Pennsylvania College of Technology. Ross is proficient in medical dermatology, including the evaluation of atypical moles (dysplastic nevi), skin cancer diagnosis, eczema, psoriasis, acne, and rosacea. Ross has a special interest and specialized training in surgical dermatology. Ross is board-certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Ross enjoys treating a wide variety of dermatologic conditions in patients of all ages.
Deborah Schu, ANP-C
Nurse Practitioner
Deborah Schu, ANP-C, is a skilled Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years’ experience in dermatology. She received her B.S., R.N., Master of Science in Nursing, and Adult Nurse Practitioner degrees from the State University of New York Health Science Center. Debbie is proficient in medical dermatology, including the evaluation of atypical moles (dysplastic nevi), skin cancer diagnosis, eczema, psoriasis, acne and rosacea. Debbie is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Board Certification. Debbie sees patients who are sixteen years old and older.
Ibrahim Tangoren, MD
Adult & Pediatric Dermatologist
Dr. Tangoren is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology in dermatology and pediatric dermatology. He specializes in medical dermatology, dermatologic surgery, and cosmetic dermatology. He is the only board-certified pediatric dermatologist in Central New York.
Dr. Tangoren completed his undergraduate education at Yale University graduating with honors with a B.S. in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry and Neuroscience. He received his M.S. and M.D. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He completed his medical training in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Dermatology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Tangoren has a patient-centered approach to dermatologic care. He enjoys forming long-term relationships with his patients. He is an expert in the diagnosis and management of medical conditions such as the immunobullous diseases, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis (eczema), acne, and rosacea. His expertise includes the evaluation of atypical moles (dysplastic nevi) and the diagnosis and surgical treatment of all types of skin cancer. Dr. Tangoren works with patients to develop comprehensive cosmetic treatment plans using injectables, lasers and topical treatments to achieve natural results.
Dr. Tangoren is a Fellow of the American Board of Dermatology and a member of the Pediatric Derm Society.
